Veneers (Direct and Indirect) in Gurgaon

Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of teeth to transform their colour, shape and symmetry - the treatment behind many of the world's most photographed smiles. We offer both direct veneers (sculpted in composite in a single visit) and indirect veneers (lab-crafted porcelain for maximum lifelike beauty and durability).

Every veneer case begins with smile design: we plan the result with you before touching a tooth.

A veneer is a thin facing bonded to the front of a tooth to change its colour, shape or alignment. There are two routes, and they are genuinely different decisions rather than budget tiers.

Direct veneers are built up from composite resin in the mouth, in one visit. They can often be done with little or no tooth removal, they are repairable if chipped, and they cost less. They also stain over the years and need occasional polishing or replacement. Indirect veneers are made in a laboratory from porcelain and bonded on at a second visit. They resist staining, last longer and reflect light more like enamel - but they require a small amount of enamel to be removed, and that step cannot be undone.

The right answer depends on how much change you need and how you feel about irreversibility. We will tell you when composite would do the job just as well, because for minor chips and small gaps it very often does.

Why patients choose us for this

Single-visit option

Direct composite veneers are completed in one appointment at a lower cost.

Porcelain realism

Indirect porcelain veneers offer unmatched translucency, stain resistance and longevity.

Minimal preparation

Modern techniques preserve maximum natural tooth structure - some cases need no drilling at all.

Your options

Direct composite veneers

Built up in a single visit, minimal or no tooth removal, repairable, lower cost. Best for small corrections.

Porcelain veneers

Laboratory-made, highly stain resistant, most natural in light and translucency. Needs a small amount of enamel removed.

Edge bonding and reshaping

The most conservative option of all - reshaping edges and adding small amounts of composite. Often overlooked and often enough.

How long it takes

Composite veneers are usually completed in one appointment of two to three hours. Porcelain takes two visits about a week or two apart, with temporaries in between.

What it costs

Veneers are priced per tooth, and the number of teeth involved is part of the design conversation - a natural result sometimes needs more teeth than people expect. The written estimate lists them individually.

Afterwards

What the next few days actually look like, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  • Avoid biting nails, pens or thread; veneers chip under point loads, not chewing
  • A night guard is strongly advised if you grind your teeth - grinding is the main cause of veneer failure
  • Coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco stain composite veneers over time; porcelain resists this far better
  • Keep flossing. Veneers do not decay, but the tooth underneath and the gum margin still can

Frequently asked questions

How long do veneers last?

Composite veneers typically last 5-7 years; porcelain veneers 10-15 years or more with good care.

Do veneers damage your teeth?

Minimal-preparation techniques remove very little enamel. Veneers actually protect the treated surface.

Direct or indirect - which is right for me?

Direct suits smaller corrections and tighter budgets; porcelain suits full smile transformations. We will advise honestly based on your teeth and goals.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

Composite veneers usually involve little or no tooth removal. Porcelain veneers do require a thin layer of enamel to be removed, which is permanent - the tooth will always need a covering afterwards. That trade-off is explained before you decide, not after.

How long do they last?

Composite typically five to seven years before it needs refreshing; porcelain often ten to fifteen or more. Grinding and biting hard objects shorten both.

Can I whiten my teeth afterwards?

Whitening does not change veneers, so whitening is done first and the veneers matched to the new shade. Say so at the consultation if whitening is something you may want later.
