DLF Phases 1 to 4 are the far side of Gurgaon from us - twenty-five minutes on a good day, via Golf Course Road and the Extension Road, or via MG Road and Rajiv Chowk if you are in Phase 1 or 2. That is a long way for routine dentistry, and we would be the first to say so.

The reason this page exists is referral. General dentists across DLF send difficult root canal cases to an endodontist, and Dr. Shipra Jain is one of the few in Gurgaon working under a microscope on retreatments - the root canal that was done years ago and has flared up, the canal that could not be found, the tooth with a separated instrument in it. Those are the cases that come down the road from Galleria, and they come once or twice, not monthly.
If your dentist has said the words "you need to see an endodontist", that is what this page is for. Bring the X-ray they gave you.
What patients from DLF Phases 1-4 come in for
The root canal that did not settle
A tooth that was root-treated years ago and now aches or has a gum boil usually has a canal that was missed or under-filled. Retreatment under a microscope finds it. Success rates for retreatment are good when the tooth is restorable and the cause is found.
Canals that could not be found
Calcified canals, extra canals in molars, and canals that turn sharply are the reasons a general dentist refers on. Under magnification with ultrasonic instruments most of them can be located and treated without surgery.
Rebuilding the tooth afterwards
A retreated tooth has had a lot removed from its centre and needs a post and core and a crown promptly. We do that here or hand a clear restoration plan back to your own dentist - your choice.
Getting here from DLF Phase 4
- 1From Galleria, join Golf Course Road heading south-east.
- 2Continue as it becomes the Golf Course Extension Road, all the way to Vatika Chowk.
- 3Turn right onto Sohna Road heading north. The clinic is on the left after about 600 metres, in Vipul Trade Center, opposite Vatika Business Park.

From Phases 1 and 2 the MG Road - Rajiv Chowk - Sohna Road route is comparable; it is one long road but crosses Subhash Chowk. Either way, avoid 6 to 8pm.

Free three-level visitor parking at Vipul Trade Center. Endodontic appointments run 60 to 90 minutes, so there is no need to watch the clock. The clinic is on the ground floor.

Questions from DLF Phases 1-4
- How far is it from DLF Phase 4?
- About twelve kilometres and twenty-five minutes off-peak via Golf Course Road and the Extension Road. Longer in the evening.
- Do I need a referral to book?
- No, but if your dentist has referred you, bring their note and X-ray - it saves a visit.
- Will you send me back to my own dentist for the crown?
- If you prefer, yes. We send the treatment notes and post-operative X-ray so they can restore the tooth. Or we can do the crown here.
- How many visits does a retreatment take?
- Usually one or two, each of about an hour. Difficult cases with infection may need a medicament left in the tooth between visits.
