Magnification Enhanced Dentistry in Gurgaon

The difference between good and exceptional dentistry is often measured in fractions of a millimetre. Magnification - dental loupes and the operating microscope - lets us see canal openings, crack lines and margins that are invisible to the naked eye.

At Mahavirai Dental and Medical Care, magnification is not an add-on; it is how we work. It is the foundation of our root canal success rate and the reason we can save teeth other clinics cannot.

Dr. Shipra Jain working under a dental operating microscope at Mahavirai Dental, Gurgaon

Most dentistry is performed with the naked eye. The problem is scale: the structures that decide whether treatment lasts - the entrance to a fine canal, a hairline crack, the margin where a crown meets the tooth - are at or beyond the limit of what an unaided eye can resolve. What cannot be seen cannot be treated.

Working under the microscope changes the odds. At high magnification, with light directed exactly where the instrument is working, a missed canal becomes obvious, a crack that would otherwise explain nothing becomes visible, and the fit of a restoration can be checked rather than assumed. It is the single biggest reason our retreatment work succeeds on teeth that were treated conventionally elsewhere.

It also changes how treatment feels. Magnified work is more conservative: less healthy tooth removed, cleaner margins, fewer repeat visits to chase a problem that was never properly seen in the first place.

Why patients choose us for this

See more, save more

Hidden canals and micro-fractures are found and treated instead of missed.

Conservative treatment

Greater visibility means less healthy tooth structure is removed.

Better outcomes

Precision at every step directly improves long-term treatment success.

What to expect

  1. 01

    Every diagnosis

Magnified examination catches early decay and crack lines before they become emergencies.

  2. 02

    Every root canal

Canals are located, cleaned and sealed under direct magnified vision.

  3. 03

    Every restoration

Margins of fillings and crowns are finished to a precision that protects against future decay.

Your options

Root canal and retreatment

Locating fine and missed canals, removing old filling material, and inspecting the canal walls for cracks before sealing.

Diagnosis of unexplained pain

Finding hairline fractures and leaking margins that do not show on an X-ray and cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Restorative and cosmetic work

Preparing teeth and finishing margins precisely, so crowns, veneers and fillings seal properly and last longer.

What it costs

Magnification is part of how we work rather than an added extra billed separately. Your written estimate is for the treatment itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does magnification make treatment more expensive?

Our fees remain competitive for Gurgaon. Precision reduces retreatment, which saves you money over time.

Is it only for root canals?

No - magnification benefits fillings, crown preparation, surgery and even routine check-ups.

Why do so few clinics use it?

Microscope-assisted dentistry requires significant investment and specialist training. It is central to how our clinic was designed.

Does it make treatment take longer?

Slightly, for some steps. It also reduces the number of return visits caused by something being missed, so the total chair time is often lower.

Is this the same as loupes?

No. Loupes are magnifying glasses worn on the face and give modest magnification. A dental operating microscope offers far higher magnification with coaxial light directly along the line of sight, which is what makes fine canals visible.
