Orthodontic Braces in Gurgaon

Braces remain the most powerful tool in dentistry for correcting crooked teeth and bite problems. From classic metal to discreet ceramic (tooth-coloured) and hidden lingual braces, we offer the full range for children, teens and adults.

Straight teeth are not just cosmetic: properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, wear more evenly and protect the jaw joints.

Both photographs are taken during treatment - the braces are still on in the second. Teeth straighten well before they come off.

Fixed braces move teeth with brackets bonded to each tooth and a wire that gently guides them into position. They are the oldest orthodontic approach and still the most versatile - there is no case that braces cannot treat, which is not true of aligners.

For adults, the main advantage over aligners is that braces are working continuously, without depending on you remembering. For complex crowding, significant bite correction and teeth needing rotation or vertical movement, they are also more predictable and often faster.

The trade-offs are visibility and cleaning. Ceramic brackets reduce the first considerably. The second is real: food traps around brackets, and patients who do not clean carefully finish treatment with straight teeth and white marks on them. We would rather spend time on that at the start than treat decalcification at the end.

Your options

Metal braces

The most efficient and the most affordable. Strong, reliable, and suitable for every kind of case.

Ceramic braces

Tooth-coloured brackets that are far less visible while working exactly the same way. The usual adult choice.

Aligners instead

Where the case is suitable, clear aligners are the removable alternative. The assessment tells you if yours qualifies.

How long it takes

Most treatments run twelve to twenty-four months, with adjustment visits every four to six weeks. You will get an estimated duration after the assessment and X-rays.

What it costs

Cost depends on the complexity of the case and the type of brackets, and is usually payable in stages across the treatment rather than upfront. The estimate covers adjustments and the retainers at the end.

Afterwards

What the next few days actually look like, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  • Expect tenderness for two to three days after fitting and after each adjustment; soft food helps
  • Avoid hard, sticky and chewy foods - they break brackets and add months to treatment
  • Clean around every bracket with an interdental brush; this is what prevents white marks on the teeth afterwards
  • Wear the retainer exactly as instructed at the end. Teeth move back, and relapse is the most common avoidable disappointment

Frequently asked questions

What age is best for braces?

The ideal first orthodontic assessment is around age 7-8, but teeth can be straightened successfully at any age - many of our brace patients are adults.

Do braces hurt?

Expect mild soreness for a few days after fitting and after adjustments. It settles quickly and simple pain relief is enough.

Metal or ceramic - which should I choose?

Metal is the most economical and robust; ceramic blends with your teeth for a discreet look. We will show you both at your consultation.

Am I too old for braces?

No. Teeth move at any age, provided the gums and bone supporting them are healthy - which is why we check gum health before starting.

Do braces hurt?

Fitting does not hurt. The following two or three days feel tender and pressured, and that repeats mildly after each adjustment.

How often are appointments?

Usually every four to six weeks, and each visit is short. Missing them extends the total treatment time.
