Teeth Whitening in Gurgaon

Professional whitening lifts years of tea, coffee and age-related staining safely - brightening your smile by several shades in around an hour. Unlike salon or over-the-counter kits, dentist-supervised whitening protects your gums and enamel while delivering dramatically better results.

We also offer take-home whitening with custom trays for gradual, controlled brightening.

Whitening works by using a peroxide gel to break down the coloured molecules that have accumulated inside your enamel and dentine over years of coffee, tea, tobacco and time. It does not strip or damage enamel, and it does not make teeth whiter than their natural maximum - it removes what has stained them.

The main reason results disappoint is that the wrong problem was treated. Discolouration from surface staining lifts beautifully. Discolouration coming from inside the tooth - an old root-treated tooth, tetracycline banding, a dead nerve - does not respond the same way and needs a different approach such as internal whitening or a veneer. Establishing which is which takes an examination, and skipping it is how people end up disappointed by an over-the-counter kit.

It is also worth knowing that existing crowns, veneers and white fillings do not change colour. If you have any at the front, whitening the natural teeth around them can leave a mismatch, and those restorations may need replacing to match afterwards.

Your options

In-clinic whitening

A stronger gel applied under supervision with the gums protected. A visible change in a single appointment.

Custom take-home trays

Trays made to fit your teeth exactly, with gel used at home over a couple of weeks. Gradual, easy to top up later, and often the most even result.

Combined approach

Start in the clinic and maintain with trays - the usual recommendation where staining is heavy.

How long it takes

In-clinic whitening takes about an hour. Take-home trays typically take ten to fourteen nights. Results are best judged a couple of weeks afterwards, once the shade settles.

What it costs

In-clinic and take-home options are priced differently, and trays can be reused later with just a new gel refill - which makes them cheaper over time. Both are quoted at the consultation.

Afterwards

What the next few days actually look like, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  • Sensitivity for a day or two is common and temporary; a sensitive-teeth toothpaste helps
  • Avoid coffee, tea, red wine, turmeric and tobacco for 48 hours while the enamel rehydrates
  • Results last one to three years depending on habits, and trays let you top up in a night or two
  • A scale and polish before whitening gives a noticeably more even result

Frequently asked questions

Does whitening damage teeth?

No - professionally supervised whitening is safe for enamel. Temporary mild sensitivity can occur and settles within a day or two.

How long do results last?

Typically 1-2 years depending on tea, coffee and smoking habits. Take-home trays make top-ups easy.

Will whitening work on my crowns and fillings?

No - whitening only lightens natural teeth. If you have visible restorations we plan the sequence so everything matches.

Will it damage my enamel?

Professionally supervised whitening at controlled concentrations does not damage enamel. The risks with unsupervised kits come from ill-fitting trays leaking gel onto the gums, and from unknown concentrations.

Why did an over-the-counter kit not work for me?

Usually because the tray did not fit closely enough to hold gel against the teeth, or because the discolouration is internal and needs a different treatment altogether.

Are the results permanent?

No. Teeth pick up stain again over time. With custom trays you keep them and top up occasionally rather than repeating the whole treatment.
