What is an endodontist, and why does it matter?
An endodontist is a dentist who has completed an additional postgraduate specialisation in treating the inside of the tooth - the pulp and root canals. General dentists perform root canals too, but complicated cases, failed previous root canals and unusual canal anatomy are what an endodontist is specifically trained for.
